LC meets LC in Lyon

From December 6th to 10th, we, together with LC Porto, were invited to an LC meets LC by LC Lyon.

The event began on Wednesday with presentations by the participating LCs and the international night. Thursday was packed with construction site and laboratory visits, as well as a seminar on fire safety and ended with a highlight of the event, the annual festival of lights “La Fête des Lumières”. Similar to the Karlsruhe Castle Light Festival, iconic buildings in the city of Lyon are illuminated in creative light shows, accompanied by music, while food and mulled wine are sold throughout the city and countless visitors meander through the beautiful streets.

On Friday and Saturday, we were guided through the city again during the day and learned more about the innovative redevelopment of the old industrial district between the Saône and Rhône rivers. In between, we were spoiled with good food, for example in the form of a raclette dinner, a wine tasting and a meal in a typical bouchon.

By Sunday, it was time to say goodbye and look forward to the next event together.

We would like to thank LC Lyon for the invitation and organization and hope that the special friendship between our LCs will continue in the years to come!
