Exchange Timisoara 2018

This October, we were invited to the third edition of TM Vibrations in Timisoara, Romania.
At the beginning, we were a very small, cozy group of internationals, but we were able to get to know each other all the better.
The first three days were spent in Timisoara itself. We visited the university, attended lectures and carried out experiments with steel in the laboratory. We also visited two construction sites, including one for the future tallest building in Romania.
On Thursday, everyone went to Transylvania for two days. We got an impression of Romania's history by visiting two fortresses.
Back in Timisoara, the celebrations for Romania's centenary took place. The city was festively decorated, there were parades and traditional dances and songs were performed on the main square.
Some students and alumni from Serbia had joined us the evening before, so the international dinner on the last evening was a big feast. Singing the IACES anthem was part of the IACES tradition.
The next morning it was time to say goodbye to new friends and a great IACES event.
