Stuttgart 21
On July 13th, 20 of our members were able to visit the construction site of the new station concourse for the major Stuttgart 21 project.
Before the tour of the construction site, an informative presentation gave us an insight into the enormous dimensions and complexity of the project as well as the tools and methods required for successful implementation.
In the hall itself, we were able to marvel at the considerable quantities of steel in the 28 goblet columns, the elaborate finishing of the exposed concrete and other aspects of the project and ask many questions.
At the end of the tour, we were invited to a meal in the "Biergarten im Schlossgarten".
We would like to thank Züblin for the opportunity to experience this truly impressive construction site up close. It certainly left a lasting impression on us.
