Bauma 2019

Once again, the time had finally come for numerous expectant KIT students. The long-awaited starting signal for bauma 2019.

On April 9, 2019, as in previous years, the bus departed for Munich at 5 am. Not even traffic jams could dampen the students' anticipation and, despite switching to public transport in Munich to avoid the aforementioned traffic jams, we managed to arrive at the gates of the exhibition center on time at just before 10 am.

And just in time for the first of our many guided tours of some of the most impressive exhibition stands of well-known companies, which this year included Bauer, Herrenknecht, Kiesel, Liebherr and the Wirtgen Group.

The participants, mainly students from the civil engineering course, were by no means disappointed in their expectations on this day. The wealth of new information, experiences and impressions, which were familiar from theoretical units in lectures, were now experienced first-hand, and for many it was an absolutely unique experience.

This special event was made possible for everyone thanks to the cooperation and organization of IACES LC Karlsruhe and Harald Schneider from the Institute for Technology and Management in Construction at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
