ICEC Local Stage Karlsruhe 2024

On 06.06.2024, the local stage of ICEC (International Civil Engineering Competition) of the IACES university group took place with the support of MPA, IfR and IBF Karlsruhe. The participants set themselves three challenging tasks: adjusting the consistency of fresh concrete with superplasticizers, developing a new footpath concept for the Durlacher Tor and building a stable sand and water tower with limited aids such as nets, wooden skewers and rubber bands. The highest tower, which was able to carry a load of 3 kg for at least one minute, brought victory to its team.

The winning team will represent Karlsruhe in the international final in Timisoara, Romania, and compete against teams from all over the world. We would like to congratulate the winners and thank all participants and sponsors who made this event possible. We look forward to more exciting events!
